Teapop is growing to a second location in Downtown Los Angeles this August. We are seeking a team of fun, committed, self-motivated people who demonstrate top notch customer service and are willing to learn the art of tea-brewing and specialty drink making. We attract stellar customers because we hire stellar employees. It is an uplifting and clean operation we run here designed for the drama-free people person who plays well with others. (This location will sell beer, wine, and spirits...so if you're 21 and over, you will be invited to learn about and sample our alcoholic offerings on a monthly basis!)
Not familiar with tea? No problem. If the word rooibos or sencha intrigues you, we'll teach you everything you need to know about tea and more. You'll be able to taste the difference between a sencha and an oolong and understand its unique characteristics.
Part-time employment starting mid to late August plus 2 weeks training. 15-35 hours per week. Open availability will have priority in our hiring process. Workload varies on weekly basis. Committed applicants only please!
Responsibilities include:
Mastering recipes in brewing tea, coffee and specialty drinks
Knowledge and understanding of our selection of craft beers and wine
Greeting customers and sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm of tea
Providing quick and considerate customer service to all patrons
Crafting and brewing speciality drinks
Keep clean and organized workspace
Taste-tasting and quality assurance on beverages
Retain knowledge of food handling procedures
Restocking refrigerators, shelves, and displays
Cash-handling and point-of-sale service
Must be punctual and work well in fast paced environment
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
High School diploma
2 weeks training
1 year experience in hospitality, customer service, cafe or restaurant/bartending

DTLA TEAPOP ASSISTANT MANAGER POSITION
(starting rate: $2100/month)

Teapop is expanding! We're opening a second location in Downtown Los Angeles this August and seeking one creative, self-motivated and intelligent individual who demonstrates strong leadership skills in a dynamic cafe, retail and event space for a store manager position. This position entails problem solving, multitasking, and leading a powerhouse team. Day-to-day tasks may vary from overseeing staff operations to beverage tastings to hosting fun team meetings. You'll be reporting directly to the owner and be the point-of-contact with various retail and beverage suppliers.

Crafting new seasonal drinks
Overseeing and managing staff
Coordinate staff meetings
Coordinating a weekly work schedule for staff
Delegating tasks in keeping clean, organized, and functional workspace
Resolving employee conflicts and customer conflicts
Updating and maintaining weekly inventory checks
Working directly with the owner on problem solving and growing sales
Answering emails regarding the cafe and possible events
Serving as the point-of-contact for various cafe suppliers (tea, beverage, alcohol, etc.)
Ordering & overseeing the organization of supplies
Qualifications include:
3+ years experience in food service position total including assistant manager or manager position
Bachelor's Degree
Demonstrates understanding of customer service and employee oversight
Food Handling Manager Certificate (must pass before official hiring)
