After 9 amazing years, Teapop will close its doors at 5050 Vineland Ave on November 18th. Unfortunately, I was unable to come to an agreement with the landlord to continue doing business at this location, which means it’s time to move on. There are no plans for moving into another location at this time, so Teapop’s tea bar will be closing indefinitely.
The idea for Teapop developed in my kitchen where I brewed different recipes and flavors to share with friends at gatherings and dinner parties. The mission was always driven by community and culture—what can I create to bring people together and inspire to create their own _______? (business, art, script, show, film, workshop, fill in the blank). As a former dancer, North Hollywood was home and there could be no other neighborhood to establish a creative tea shop. As an Asian-American, I adamantly sought out local and international BIPOC suppliers, many of whom have partnered with us since Day 1. In essence, Teapop has only alittle to do with serving drinks. It has fully expressed what I envisioned in the early kitchen brewing days..the art, community, culture coming together over a cup of tea. And for that, I am so grateful to you.
Thank you for supporting Teapop through it all. We have been through growing pains, scary and uncertain times together, and this place truly could not have made it this far without you. Please continue to follow us on IG for future updates.
